After choosing Dr. Molayem as your orthodontist,
you know you've made the right choice. Whether you're receiving a set of
standard braces, Damon brackets,
the Invisalign treatment with
clear plastic aligners, or any of the other dental
services we provide, you can rest confident, knowing that every step
of the process will be performed with your best needs in mind.
It's not unusual, however, for other dental issues to be discovered during
the course of orthodontic work. During your treatment, Dr. Molayem may notice
other conditions in your mouth, teeth, or gums that require attention or
treatment. In every case, Dr. Molayem works closely with the best oral surgeons,
periodontists,
prosthodontists, and general dentists in Los Angeles to make sure that you
receive the best possible care.
For example, you may want or need a dental implant to replace a missing
tooth, but sometimes there isn't enough room between your teeth for the
dental implant to fit. Dr. Molayem, an orthodontist, and your periodontist
will analyze your mouth to determine how much space is needed for the implant,
and then Dr. Molayem can move your teeth so that the periodontist can place
the dental implant.
Once your teeth are straight and your bite is functional, follow-up care
by a general dentist or prosthodontist can do the final touches to complete
your smile. In some cases, dental procedures may not be possible until after
Dr. Molayem has corrected your teeth. If your teeth are too small for your
mouth, for example, that condition can be corrected through the application
of veneers. Unless orthodontic treatment
through the use of braces, Damon brackets, or Invisalign aligners is done
first, too much of the tooth may need to be removed before the veneers can
be put in place. The way around this is for Dr. Molayem to first move your
teeth into your place so that your dentist can then apply the veneers with
minimum tooth removal.
By working with the best of other dental professionals, we
can provide the direction, expertise, and services that make
sure you get the smile you've dreamed of. And that will give
you lots to smile about!
